Parish Council has seven elected councillors who meet on the second Wednesday of January, March, May, July September and November. Meetings are held in the The Old Powerhouse starting at 7p.m. with an opportunity for members of the public to have a say. The agenda and minutes are displayed on the notice boards located near the telephone box on The Cliff, opposite Home Farm and in the entrance to Bryanston Club.

Vacancy for Clerk to Bryanston Parish Council 14th of January 2026
Bryanston Parish Council are seeking a part time Clerk to undertake the duties of Proper Officer /RFO to the council to join the Parish Council on the 1st of May, which will give sufficient time for the handover from the existing Clerk.
We are a small Parish situated just North Dorset in Bryanston Parish.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who works well from home and as a member of a team.
Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications but will be in line with the National Association of Clerks payment guidelines. All relevant training and subscriptions to relevant industry bodies will be paid by the Council.
The role is part time for 21.5 hours per month.
We are qualified for the General Power of Competence, as to the present date, as the retiring Clerk holds the CiLCA qualification and there are sufficient members of the Council what were voted in at the last election. We would be looking for applicants to have the Cilca qualification, or similar, but it is not essential. If applicants are not qualified, we would welcome applications from those who are willing to undertake the relevant training.
All we ask for is enthusiasm, organisation and a willingness to serve the community and the Council.
